Job description:

Synopsys is conducting an interview for the post of Applications Engineer.

Job duties and responsibilities:

You will be part of a sophisticated team responsible for product development for automatic validation of emulation platforms.

Qualifications and Experience required:

• The skills required for these job functions would be 1 to 3 years of experience with C/C++ and/or python, System Verilog and Tcl/Shell/Perl scripting languages.
• Candidate should have strong analytical skills, and be able to provide solutions to open problems, and build quick prototypes for the solutions.

Synopsys has huge emulation platform which can be customized based on user design flows and environment. The space of different flows and various customer inputs creates many dimensions. All these dimensions throw a tough challenge to validate these systems which has to mimic customer’s environment involving huge design sizes, complex test benches and different configuration settings by customer.

Validation of these systems can no longer be directed. It requires to create smart products that can be leveraged across teams to improve the productivity of engineers. These products significantly cut down on required compute resources and debug time for functional and performance issues.
