Job description:
Ideation Technology Solutions is conducting an interview for the following posts:
- Laser Scan Modeler
- Piping Designer or CAD Specialist
- 3D CAD Modeler
- Mechanical Designer or CAD Specialist
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Use state-of-the art catalog driven software to build accurate and complete graphical 3D CAD models from laser scan data, photographs, and other digital files.
- Advanced Digital Twin 3D models will also include asset information, e.g., asset tag, material, commodity codes, and other client specified information.
Qualifications and other requirements:
Minimum requirements – Entry Level candidates should:
- Have demonstrated experience using commercially available 2D or 3D CAD modeling software, e.g., AutoDesk AutoCAD or Bentley Microstation
- Be familiar with, or at least be able to recognize, common industrial or mechanical components for the purpose of creating 3D models, e.g.,
- Piping & Mechanical systems: ASME or DIN pipe, elbows, valves, reducers, and flanges, pumps, filters, compressors, etc.
- Civil & Structural components: Angle Iron, I-beam, concrete foundation, anchors
Electrical Conduit and Instrumentation
Ideal skills and qualifications – Advanced or Leadership candidates should:
(in addition to the above) also:
- Have experience using laser scan modeling software, i.e.,
- INOVX RealityLINx, INOVX V-Suite
- Leica Cyclone or CloudWorx
- ClearEdge3D, LFM, or other
- HavePiping Design or Mechanical Design experience; and
- Demonstrated experience using 3D CAD modeling or CAD Design
- Experience using 3D software from AVEVA (PDMS or E3D) or Intergraph (PDS or SP3D)
- Have ability to read and understand typical engineering documents:
- Process and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID)
- Piping Isometrics
- Vessel and Equipment Drawings
- Instrument Data Sheets
- Structural Drawings
- Have experience in 3D CAD or Laser Scanning quality checking / quality control (QA/QC)
