Job description:
Microchip Technology is conducting an interview for the post of Verification Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Define and develop verification architecture for devices incorporating a range of mixed signal, logic, and embedded firmware
- Define and develop verification methodologies
- Define and develop verification environments
- Write verification specifications, verification plans, and documentation
- Generate test bench and automatic regression plans
- Complete block-level verification and chip level verification
- Bring a self-motivated and enthusiastic approach that will achieve any new requirements and overcome all challenges
- Able to work independently and handle complex SoC Verification platform
- Able to debug the RTL for design intent and Interface with cross-functional teams and collaboration in all verification related activities
- Good understanding and working knowledge of Microcontroller/Microprocessor
Qualifications, Experience and other requirements:
- BSEE + 2 Years experience or MSEE + 0-1 Years experience.
- Hands on project experience with UVM verification methodologies
- Hands on project experience in architecting and executing UVM verification projects
- Hands on project experience in coverage and assertion-driven verification
- Proven experience in writing verification plans and test bench development, simulation, and debugging
- Proficient in SystemVerilog and Verilog
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technology
- Good knowledge of UNIX shell scripting, Perl/Python and TCL scripting
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Willingness to travel on short notices occasionally
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Exposure to mixed signal or embedded firmware verification
- Proficient in Verilog-AMS, Verilog-A, or VHDL
- Hands on project experience in verifying projects using SPI. UART, I2C, or SENT protocols
- Knowledge of CMOS logic design, circuit design, and circuit analysis
- Knowledge of chip design flow, process, and methodology
- Good knowledge and understanding of CMOS device operation, characteristics, and failure mechanisms
- Proficient with UNIX environment, and CAE/CAD tools such as schematic capture, simulation, design verification
