Job description:
Hourglass Research is conducting an interview for the post of Patent Drafting Associate.
Job duties and responsibilities:
As an Associate, you will:
- work with some of the leading technology corporations and technology experts, assisting them in their innovation roadmap
- work on cutting-edge technologies and hand-in-hand with technologists
get an opportunity to identify problems and strive to resolve the same by independent thinking - Attend patent review committee (PRC) meetings to evaluate inventions
- Conduct patent searches to assess patentability of inventions
- Prepare US patent applications
- Assist in patent prosecution activities to take patent applications to grant
- Client interaction: Participate in inventor calls from Day 1, communicate project highlights and summaries to clients via calls and e-mail
- Participate in devising IP strategies for clients
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Bachelors/ Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation and Computer Science.
- Freshers from Tier-1 Engineering Institutes preferred
- IP Experience: 0-3 years (not mandatory)
Desired Skillset:
- Ability to quickly understand and grasp complex/cutting-edge technologies within hi-tech including VLSI, Semiconductor, Emerging Technology (EVs, AI, ML, blockchain, deeptech, etc.), Telecom (LTE/4G and beyond)
- Excellent written and verbal communication [an absolute must]
- Desire to deliver the best work product within set timelines
- Ability to think independently and in a team to understand problems & suggest solutions
