Job description:
Qualcomm is looking for candidates with the following qualifications for this role as a GPU Systems Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Architectural explorations for the next generation architectures
- Analyze Graphics Application Performance/power at System level
- Characterize various relevant Graphics Workloads (Gaming, UX, Compute, DNN)
- Implementation of new functional, performance and power features on the models
- Correlate Performance/Power Projections from Model with Design
- Power/Performance optimizations at System Architecture level
- Identify GPU HW/Driver/Compiler Performance/Power Optimizations
- Develop tools to help improve Performance/Power Debug
- Plan future GPU configurations (power/Perf/Area) based on marketing requirements
Job requirements:
- Solid understanding of CPU/GPU/SOC architecture
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Good programming skills: C, C++, Python
- Strong foundations in power or performance debug concepts.
- Familiarity with Verilog/System Verilog
- Familiarity with MMU/DDR Subsystems, Compiler optimization techniques
- Familiarity with one or more Graphics APIs
- Familiarity with GPU SW / 3D Graphics is a plus
Qualification & Experience required:
- Masters in CS/EE (Computer architecture/ Graphics & rendering/ Power & Performance)
- Ph.D. in CS/EE (Computer architecture/ Graphics & rendering/ Power & performance)
- 0-2 years of Experience required
