Job description:
GE Healthcare is conducting an interview for the post of Production Support Engineer.
The Production Support Engineer position provides technical manufacturing support for products as part of the Manufacturing team. The position is a role with a strong initial focus on process simplification and improvement across multiple modalities, and furthermore must be able to work autonomously.
Job roles and responsibilities:
- Utilizing initiative and independent judgment to develop, implement, qualify and improve complex engineering systems
- Performing trouble shooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve streamlined processes
- Leading and engaging teams in developing upgrades, ranging from evaluations through implementation
- Developing new process and workstation designs to reduce cycle time and support the lean manufacturing initiatives
- Participate in new product introductions through system layout, tool upgrades, and new equipment
- Interaction with employees and management to design and conduct training strategies
- Ownership of business objectives, including delivery, multi-generational upgrades, and strategic deployment
- Lead Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals
- Providing technical assistance remotely or in person to manufacturing users of systems
- Employing data analysis to improve established processes and metrics
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing industry
- Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of ISO 13485
- Lean Manufacturing experience
