Job description:
Micron Technology is conducting an interview for the post of ASIC Modeling Staff Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Active participation in system architecture activities, supporting architecture work of Micron’s entire modeling of Non-Volatile memory portfolio for ASIC development
Architect, design, develop & debug software functional and timing models for bandwidth, power and architecture exploration, performance modeling & analysis - Document and publish improvements to bandwidth, power and performance modeling tools
- Build new modeling tools to analyze specific questions and architectural problems
Qualifications and other requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- Expect good understanding of C++ and Python software development
- Strong analytical skills, applied in several areas:
- Find creative solutions to hard problems
- Firm understanding of modern software engineering principles and the ability to apply them throughout the modeling tool lifecycle
- Capability with debugging and development tools to find, fix, and improve the tools as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills – this role requires a high degree of teamwork
- Ability to work well in a truly global environment, with partners in Europe, Asia, and the US
