Job description:
Verifone is conducting an interview for the post of Software Development Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Understand customer requirements and design and develop applications for point of sale devices based on the requirements
- Contribute in all phases of software development lifecycle
- Work with project architect and/or technical lead to confirm and substantiate functional and technical designs
- Learn and deploy new technologies as needed
- Expected to prioritize work load and meet multiple project deadlines
- Accountable for meeting deadlines and deliverable quality
- Follow and enforce the coding standards as established in team
Qualifications and Experience required:
- B.Tech (Computer Science)/ M.Tech (Computer Science)/ MCA
- 1-4 years of experience in product software development with C & C++
- Hands on experience working on Linux based systems
- Ability to write programs fluently, strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills – ability to work in cross cultural environment
- Highly motivated and capable of multi-tasking
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethics and positive team attitude
