Job description:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring Quality Engineers for their Pune office.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Quality:
- Incoming Inspection of material/components. (Mechanical + Analytics/Electronics + Electrical)
- Preparation of Incoming Inspection sheet.
- Updating of Incoming material inspection status (in server)
- In process Inspection and record generation
- Final Inspection and Internal Inspection Report Generation.
- Test certificates compilation with respect to project wise.
- Maintaining list of measuring instruments and coordinating for calibration of those instruments through external lab/agency.
- Measuring First pass yield and record generation.
- Performing In-house calibration/ testing of Systems and conforming.
- All record as per QMS upkeep / compliance.
- Co-ordination with customers for document review.
- Preparation of work instructions / SOP’s for the process as applicable by co-ordinating with stake holders.
Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in the site Quality Improvement Plan / PPI.
- Involve positively in the team to improve the capability, capacity, culture, and standards at the site.
- Participate in the value-added continuous improvement, using a risk based approach.
Documentation Management:
- Ensure documentation is managed as per Quality Standards.
- Ensure Document Management System is validated and maintained in a compliant manner
- Manage records retention policy for site.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Good Verbal and Written communication.
- Attention to detail and learning approach.
- Hands-on experience in Incoming material inspections, In process and final Inspections
- preferably in Engineering / Manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience in preparing/generating Inspection reports.
- Familiar of using Quality control tools like Data Collection, Analysis, Corrective/preventive actions would be advantage.
- Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality management systems.
- Knowledge of Safety, 5’s, Kaizen etc. would be an advantage.
- A good team player, able to work confidently in teams in a multi-disciplinary environment and communicate with customers.
- IT literate to the demands of current data system architecture and electronic communications.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in a cross-functional environment and across functional boundaries.
- Analytical thinking.
- Certification in Quality Control / Assurance would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of problem-solving tools.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve.
