Job description:

Microchip Technology is conducting an interview for the post of Verification Engineer.

About the group:

The UNG Design team works on design of High bandwidth Ethernet switches and ARM CPU sub-systems integrated with Ethernet switches.

Working on various aspects of ASIC design verification, including test bench architecture, test plan, test case development, RTL Verification using (SystemVerilog, UVM), Functional Coverage, Code Coverage, for high speed, multiple clock domain networking ASICs.

The candidate is required to work on ARMv7-A or ARMv8-A processor architecture-based CPU system and complex CPU system peripheral IP’s.

Provide necessary support and work closely with the other teams like IP Design, physical design, validation, SW / driver development.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Technical skills needed:

Excellent Logic design, FSM design skills. Ability to model logic using HDL’s like System Verilog or VHDL using synthesizable design constructs.
Strong in HVL’s – System Verilog / VHDL, structured and layered coding practices including familiarity with OOPS concepts.
Must be willing to learn new technologies, get familiar with new standards.
Strong in front end Verification and System Verilog UVM.
Strong scripting skills in Unix scripting languages (bash, csh,etc), also one of Python, TCL, Perl.
Familiar with Armv7-A processor architecture like Cortex A7, Cortex A9 or any other processor.
Familiar with bus protocols like AXI, AHB and APB.

Required qualifications:

Masters Degree in Engineering with specialization in Electronics / VLSI from one of the reputed institutes.
2 years of post-qualification experience. Internship experience will also be considered.
