Synopsys is conducting an interview for the post of Application Engineer, I.
Job duties and responsibilities:
As an Application engineer, you will be the product expert to drive the success of Synopsys FPGA design flow tools, including synplify, protocompiler and ZEBU. You will be the interface between field/major customers and R&D to develop and deploy the FPGA design flow and solutions.
Essential responsibilities:
- Providing technical support to the major customers and field engineers. Understanding customer requirements and translating them to product enhancements.
- Rapid deployment of new technologies with close R&D collaboration. Supporting customer evaluation and benchmarks.
- Developing and delivering product training, writing technical papers and application notes.
- Having regular communication with R&D, marketing and field teams as technical expert.
- Driving current and future product direction.
Qualifications and requirements:
- BE or ME with 1+ years of experience in logic design and implementation using FPGAs.
- Should have very good hands on experience in Verilog and/or VHDL.
- Strong knowledge on Verification concepts and writing test benches.
- Strong in problem solving skills.
- Should have good experience in Synthesis, back end flow, FPGA architecture and implementing designs in hardware.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, professional attitude and strong desire to succeed.
- Exposure to Xilinx/Altera synthesis software is a plus.
- Scripting (TCL, python, shell) knowledge is desirable.
