Job description:

CEIR Mobility is conducting internship for Engineers in various technical fields.

At CEIR Mobility, you’ll be a pivotal member of a dynamic, agile team, contributing to the architecture, design, and implementation of motor control systems across our diverse electric motor products. This role entails close collaboration with software, mechanical, integration, and testing teams to innovate, develop, test, and enhance system-level functionalities.

For Position #1: Hardware Design Engineer – Intern

Responsibilities:

– Develop and optimize circuits tailored for motor control applications.
– Produce initial circuit prototypes and conduct bench tests to evaluate functionality.
– Select appropriate power components and drivers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
– Utilize software tools like Altium for electronic circuit and PCB design.
– Ensure compatibility and interchangeability of parts used in circuit designs.
– Finalize Bill of Materials (BOM) and estimate costs.
– Conduct performance testing and optimize motor control solutions.
– Document test results meticulously for future reference and compliance.
– Collaborate closely with firmware engineers to develop and test hardware modules.

Requirements:

– Proficiency in hardware design and control techniques for BLDC and PMSM motors.
– Comprehensive understanding of electronic design, encompassing both analog and digital circuits.
– Familiarity with various power device technologies, including MOSFET, IGBT, Super Junction MOSFETs, and SIC.
– Expertise in designing Gate Driver Circuits.
– Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Eagle and Altium.
– Ability to conduct circuit simulations using relevant software tools.
– Skilled in hardware troubleshooting using various debugging methods.
– Hands-on experience with standard test equipment, including Oscilloscopes, Power meters, and electronic loads.

For Position #2: Embedded Design Engineer – Intern

Responsibilities:

– Develop motor control algorithms in MATLAB and validate them at laboratory and product levels.
– Implement sensored/sensorless control of permanent magnet motors, including advanced inverter modulation, position and velocity estimation, current control, fault detection, and efficiency optimization.
– Ensure inverter and motor systems meet performance requirements through controls algorithm development, implementation, and testing.
– Assist in the construction of embedded software architecture, code writing, debugging, and system testing.
– Incorporate safety features such as Over/Under voltage, Over-current, Reverse Polarity, and Thermal Protection.
– Develop and optimize device drivers and firmware for motor control interfaces and peripherals.
– Perform validation and verification testing to ensure compliance with motor control requirements.

Requirements:

– Strong understanding of power electronics control (including PID controls, V/F, FOC, DTC, SVPWM, PWM, and different control loops).
– Experience working with microcontrollers and microprocessors.
– Proficiency in programming languages such as Embedded C, C++, and Python.
– Knowledge of communication protocols used in motor control systems, such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, or Modbus.
– Experience with system-level modeling and simulation tools for motor control applications.
– Experience with electric vehicle systems and hands-on integration testing.
– Excellent team player with effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external engineering teams.

For Position #3: Mechanical Design Engineer – Intern

Responsibilities:

– Contribute to Structural, Mechanical, Thermal Engineering, and NVH aspects of electric powertrain systems for electric vehicle applications.
– Conceptualize, develop, and optimize product and manufacturing drawings in both 2D and 3D formats.
– Generate concepts and designs that are cost-effective.
– Conduct structural analysis and simulation to validate designs and enhance performance.
– Assess feasibility of manufacturing and assembly through DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) analyses.
– Conduct testing and prototyping to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.
– Create comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
– Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing engineering processes.

Qualifications:

– Strong grasp of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
– Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping techniques.
– Familiarity with CATIA/SOLIDWORKS is advantageous.
– Knowledge of simulation and analysis tools such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is a bonus.
– Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
