Job description:
Google is hiring for the post of Silicon Validation Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test procedures to verify the functionality of new Silicon.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug failures related to Silicon, Boards, Software, and Manufacturing.
- Provide regular updates on Silicon health to platform, software, and volume manufacturing teams.
- Plan, develop, and execute tests to validate the GPU subsystem and its integration at the system level.
- Conduct validation of designs on both pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in C programming.
- Experience developing and executing tests in pre and post silicon platforms.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience executing tests on emulation platforms and/or FPGA and experience with JTAG debuggers.
- Experience with complex system debug, embedded operating systems, and bare metal programming.
- Experience with ARM architecture and SOC system level knowledge.
- Knowledge of OS fundamentals.
