Job description:
Burns & McDonnell is conducting an interview for the post of Graduate Trainee Electrical Engineer in Mumbai office to lead and support electrical design activities on projects mainly in North America region. The successful candidate will report to a Departmental Manager and will assist in design of various facility projects.
Job duties and responsibilities:
The Graduate electrical engineer will work under the supervision of a lead engineer of department manager to handle below listed responsibilities:
- Designing electrical systems/equipment to provide for a useful and safe workplace
- Advise clients regarding electrical systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.
- Ensure installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design
specifications and safety codes. - Participate in developing the design criteria for protective device coordination, relay
applications, medium voltage transformers, switchgear, medium and low voltage distribution. - Collaborate with engineers and technician to design and apply new system process.
- Define customer need and requirement.
- Reviews electrical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated.
- Developing concept studies and design
- Define customer needs and requirement. Flexible to support on dynamic work on various projects.
- Enforces standards and practices.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Understanding of electrical engineering, codes and safety standards.
- Good problem -solving abilities
- CAD and Microsoft Office skills necessary to accomplish electrical design goals
- Knowledge of SKM/ETAP is a plus
