Futuristic Labs is hiring for the post of Embedded Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
As an Embedded Engineer (Software/Hardware) at Futuristic Labs, you will be at the heart of our product development process. You will work on both the software and hardware aspects of our cutting-edge kitchen automation products. This role involves coding, testing, prototyping, and debugging to ensure the seamless operation of our products.
- Code Optimization & Development: Stress test and optimize our C/C++ code base that powers our kitchen robots, enabling automatic cooking.
- Stack Utilization: Work with our technology stack including Python (application), C/C++ (real-time), RTOS, and Raspbian OS.
- Feature Development: Write and implement code for new features to enhance product functionality.
- Test Scheme Development: Develop and implement test schemes for various functionalities of our machines.
- Interface Code Writing: Write interface code to test various actuators and sensors.
- Prototyping: Build prototype breadboard-style setups to assist mechanical and design engineers in testing actuators and sensors for the next product versions.
- Electronic Setups: Create basic electronic setups using Arduino or Raspberry Pi for testing various functionalities.
- PCB Testing & Debugging: Test and debug existing PCBs to ensure reliability and performance.
- Technical Documentation: Write and maintain technical documentation for development processes and product features.
- Assembly Collaboration: Work closely with the assembly team to develop test jig setups.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming with experience in real-time systems.
- Knowledge of Python and experience with RTOS and Raspbian OS.
- Experience in developing and testing embedded systems.
- Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques.
- Ability to write and understand interface code for sensors and actuators.
- Hands-on experience with Arduino and Raspberry Pi for prototyping.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
