Job description:
GalaxEye Space is hiring for the post of Embedded Hardware Intern.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and developing optimized electrical power systems, including power generation, distribution, and storage.
- Support the design, manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing of high-reliability electronics for airborne and space missions.
- Help create design documentation, BOMs, and ensure DFM and DFMEA.
- Contribute to hardware timeline definition and problem-solving for design issues.
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Develop and maintain schematics and PCB layouts for embedded hardware systems.
- Assist in component selection and scouting for embedded hardware systems.
- Coordinate with partners for fabrication and testing according to aerospace standards (AS9100).
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s in ECE, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with design tools like Altium, KiCad, or Eagle.
- Basic knowledge of analog and power electronics.
- Understanding of best practices for military/space-grade PCB layout.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
- Basic programming skills (C/C++).
- Exposure to lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, etc.) is a plus.
