Job description:
Synopsys is looking for an intern for a period of over 6 months.
The candidate should have a strong hold of circuit design fundamentals in CMOS technologies. He/she should be well versed in design concepts related to design of the op-amps, current-mirrors, circuit theory, Fourier transforms, voltage and current reference circuits, etc. The candidate should possess good problem-solving skills. The candidate is required to work in the field of design for the above circuits, simulate the circuits to test the current design and be a part in suggesting improvements. He/she should possess the knowledge of basic simulation tools and waveform analyzers.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the given design at the block level and to see its impact on the top level.
- Understand the design specifications for the given block for a given protocol in the desired technology platform.
- Simulate the given design with the given tool to know its limitations and strong points.
- Correlate the o/p’s in the form of the design parameters and waveforms with the desired o/p’s.
- Look for the design improvements if needed to align to the specifications.
- Report the findings if they are or not with in the desired limits for the circuit to be signed off for a given design.
- Prepare a consolidated report for the results obtained with the desired specifications.
- Present the results clearly to the team / respective designers for the design updates.
