Sun Mobility is looking for STA Interns in Bangalore.
Job duties and responsibilities:
The purpose of the STA Intern is to support the New Product Development (NPD) process by ensuring manufacturability through DFM feedback, vendor coordination, and compliance with ISO standards. They help maintain documentation and assist in resolving technical issues with suppliers.
- Review engineering drawings for manufacturability.
- Provide initial Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure DFM feedback closure.
- Conduct vendor visits to monitor NPD progress.
- Maintain STA documents in accordance with ISO standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process alignment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in NPD and STA processes.
Qualifications and experience required:
0-1 Years of experience with backgroud of BE/BTech (Mechanical)
Role Specific skills/competencies:
- Proficiency in reading and analyzing engineering/technical drawings.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Basic knowledge of ISO systems and documentation standards.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for design review.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly).
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools (preferred).
- Basic understanding of quality control processes and standards.
