Job description:

Proxygy is seeking a talented and motivated Embedded Systems Intern to join the team.

Responsibilities:

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects involving both hardware and software aspects of embedded systems. You’ll collaborate with our engineering team to design, develop, test, and optimise embedded systems solutions.

Assist in the development of embedded software, including firmware, drivers, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Participate in the debugging, testing, and optimization of embedded systems to ensure performance, reliability, and stability.
Contribute to hardware design by reviewing schematics, selecting components, and assisting with prototyping.
Contribute to hardware design by reviewing schematics, selecting components, and assisting with prototyping.
Develop and execute test plans for both software and hardware verification.
Work on projects involving microcontrollers, microprocessors, and various communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.).
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues in embedded systems.
Document code, procedures, and test results for future reference and compliance.

Qualifications required:

Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Electronics and communication, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field.

Skills required:

Understanding of Embedded Systems: Knowledge of both software and hardware fundamentals.
Proficiency in C/C++: Strong programming skills in embedded C/C++ for microcontrollers.
Basic knowledge of micro-controllers/processors such as ARM Cortex, AVR, or similar.
Hands-on experience with IDEs like Arduino, STM32 cube, Keil µVision and VS code etc.
Experience or coursework involving RTOS and low-level device drivers.
Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.
Basic understanding of hardware design, including schematic reading and PCB layout.
Experience with tools like Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, bench power supply, signal generator mustimeter and other debugging tools.
Ability to work in a team environment and take ownership of tasks and projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning new technologies.
