Qualcomm is hiring for the post of ASIC RTI Design Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
As a Hardware Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be responsible for planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems. This includes circuits, mechanical systems, and various types of systems such as Digital, Analog, RF, optical, as well as test systems and packaging. You will play a key role in bringing innovative, top-tier products to market by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to devise solutions that meet performance criteria.
Key responsibilities:
- Utilize hardware expertise to assist in the planning, optimization, verification, and testing of a variety of electronic systems and components.
- Support the integration of new features and functionalities into hardware designs in accordance with strategic proposals and roadmaps.
- Aid in conducting simulations and analyses to ensure optimal power, performance, and area for designs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement new requirements and integrate advanced testing solutions to enhance yield, reduce test time, and improve quality.
- Contribute to the evaluation, characterization, and development of manufacturing processes for state-of-the-art products, ensuring they meet customer expectations and timelines.
- Participate in assessing the reliability of materials, techniques, and properties while driving innovation, automation, and optimization for greater efficiency.
- Help identify potential design flaws, compatibility issues, and compliance concerns through the assessment of common design features.
- Prepare technical documentation for hardware projects.

Minimum qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred qualifications:
- A master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a relevant field.
- At least one year of experience in circuit design, including digital, analog, and RF.
- A minimum of one year of experience with schematic capture and circuit simulation tools.
- At least one year of hands-on experience with hardware design and measurement tools like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and RF instruments.
