Job description:
Digantara is looking for a driven Mechanical Intern to support the design and development of mechanical and opto-mechanical systems for innovative applications in both ground and space-based technologies. As a fresh graduate, you will work alongside experienced engineers to:
- Contribute to Design: Assist in designing mechanical and opto-mechanical systems, with a focus on Space Surveillance Telescopes.
- Learn and Apply Simulations: Utilize mechanical simulations to validate design performance.
- Collaborate and Grow: Work closely with skilled engineers to gain hands-on experience and develop your mechanical engineering expertise.
Requirements:
- Have a Strong Foundation in Mechanical Engineering: A basic understanding of mechanical systems, with some experience in R&D projects being an advantage.
- Are Eager to Learn: A willingness to develop expertise in designing mechanical systems for space applications.
- Possess Analytical Skills: Basic knowledge of finite element analysis and calculations.
- Are Team-Oriented: Strong collaboration skills to contribute effectively within a team environment.
- Have Enthusiasm for the Field: Passion for space technology, telescopes, and the application of mechanical engineering principles in innovative projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Requirements:
- Basic CAD Skills: Familiarity with CAD tools like SolidWorks or similar software for geometry preparation.
- Simulation Tools: Experience or coursework with tools like ANSYS, Nastran, SolidWorks, or COMSOL is beneficial but not essential.
