Phoenix Contact is hiring for the post of Testing and Documentation Engineer.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: Minimum 4 years
Education: Degree/Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related stream
The Testing and Documentation Engineer is responsible for conducting reliable and accurate testing of electronic and electrical systems in accordance with national and international standards. This role also involves documentation, troubleshooting, and providing support to project and quality teams to ensure seamless execution of development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of core testing experience and be proficient in test equipment and laboratory management.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and authenticated testing and documentation following national and international standards (ISO 17025:2017).
- Perform approval tests as per standard specifications and assist development project teams in achieving project goals.
- Collaborate with the Quality team in conducting failure analysis and recommending corrective actions.
- Analyze and review technical parameters for projects and testing processes.
- Provide preventive and corrective maintenance support to ensure proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain and support the laboratory management system in line with ISO 17025:2017 standards.
- Interpret international and national standards and ensure compliance with testing and documentation practices.
- Investigate test failures and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, implementing corrective measures where necessary.
- Facilitate inter- and intra-departmental communication to ensure effective coordination and smooth project progress.
- Assist the Team Lead in achieving laboratory and project goals.
Qualifications and skills:
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in core testing, specifically within Electrical and Electronic systems.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi for effective communication.
- Familiarity with national and international standards, including ISO 17025:2017.
- Experience in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and conducting failure analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting purposes.
