Electronic Systems Product Engineer | Cummins Job In Pune, MH

Position overview:

This is an entry-level/early-career role aimed at designing and optimizing electronic and electrical systems for Cummins products. The Electronic Systems Product Engineer will be responsible for converting product requirements into technical specifications for hardware and software, configuring these systems, and conducting validation tests to ensure seamless integration in customer applications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve electronic system problems by identifying root causes, recommending solutions, and following up with guidance from senior team members.
  • Apply and support enhancements in electronic systems development processes, such as system specifications, simulations, calibration, and Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R).
  • Use tools for simulation, calibration, and the maintenance of product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with customers, technical teams, engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders to provide recommendations that enhance product performance.
  • Make design decisions regarding electronic and electrical systems, focusing on requirements, calibration, and testing to ensure component quality and performance.
  • Take ownership of resolving issues in moderately complex systems or components and increase your responsibilities as your technical expertise grows.
  • Contribute to process improvements and technological advancements, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and successfully in collaboration with teams and technicians.

Skills required:

  • Statistical Methods: Use statistical tools for data analysis and decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Design Integration: Translate design requirements and present them through design reviews.
  • Technical Documentation: Create clear documentation to effectively communicate technical details.

Experience and competencies:

  • Experience: Prior exposure through internships, co-ops, or other technical activities is advantageous, though not mandatory.
