Job description:

Nikkiso is conducting an interview for the post of GET – Apprentice Trainee.

The Customer Service position is responsible for providing comprehensive after-market-service support to customers through field service, repairs, and spare parts management. The role ensures a positive impact on the top and bottom lines of the service department by working closely with business management, technicians, and global teams.

Key responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Management:

  • Collaborate with business unit management to design service strategies and roadmaps.
  • Contribute to short-term and long-term sales forecasts and identify service business opportunities.

2. Team Leadership:

  • Lead and develop the customer service team, including technicians and sub-vendors, to meet sales goals and service objectives.
  • Set up team structures and operational processes for efficient service delivery.

3. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with customers to promote service business opportunities.
  • Work closely with sub-vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless after-market-service operations.

4. Global Collaboration:

  • Work with the global service team, including the Field Service Manager (TURBO) at ACD-LLC, USA, to provide field service support to Indian and global customers.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about pumps to assist customers effectively.

5. Site Visits & Field Service:

  • Plan and execute site visits within the travel budget.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by bridging the gap between the organization and customers, and provide proper documentation during site visits.
  • Follow safety regulations and protocols at all times.

6. Quotation & Documentation:

  • Prepare and submit spare parts quotations based on customer inquiries and internal cost sheets.
  • Take decisions regarding parts replacement when necessary during site visits.

7. Service Expansion:

  • Work with the global team to expand the service center capabilities and grow the after-market service operations.

Key Authorities:

  • Represent Nikkiso Cryogenic Services Division of Nikkiso Cosmodyne India Private Limited.
  • Submit offers for repairs, parts supply, and field service to Indian customers for ACD make pumps.
  • Manage the service department team and make decisions related to customer service interactions and recommendations.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Supervise and mentor other members of the department, providing guidance and coaching.

Work Environment:

  • Professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment like computers and smartphones.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular communication is required (talking and hearing).
  • Occasional physical tasks such as lifting files and opening cabinets may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BE in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and the ability to resolve technical issues.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and teamworking skills. The ability to explain complex concepts clearly and relay customer feedback to colleagues.
