Job description:
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring for the post of External Graduate.
Duties and responsibilities:
Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for product enhancements and new solutions. Projects involve working on software components such as operating systems, compilers, routers, networking utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Additionally, the role may influence hardware design and compatibility.
Management level:
Contributes to projects of limited scope by applying technical knowledge and theoretical understanding. Works as part of a team, providing insights, analysis, and recommendations, while exercising independent judgment within established guidelines.
Key responsibilities:
- Software Development: Write and enhance code for subsystems, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and web tools.
- Testing & Debugging: Follow established test plans, debug issues, and maintain logs for assigned portions of software.
- Collaboration: Develop relationships with both internal and outsourced teams to design and develop software solutions.
- Team Participation: Work collaboratively with other engineers and development partners to create reliable and cost-effective software solutions for low to moderately complex products.
Education & experience:
- Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 0–2 years in software systems design or development.
Skills & qualifications:
- Technical skills: Familiarity with software design tools and programming languages.
- Problem solving: Strong analytical skills for debugging and testing code.
- Systems knowledge: Understanding of multi-platform software design.
- Communication: Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred skills:
- Modern Frameworks & Tools: Experience or interest in Cloud Architectures, DevOps, Microservices, Full Stack Development, and Distributed Computing.
- Security & UX: Emphasize a Security-First mindset and understand User Experience (UX) principles.
- Automation & Design Thinking: Familiarity with automated testing and innovative design methodologies.
