Job description:
Ansys is hiring for the post of Technical Support Engineer.
Key responsibilities:
- Utilize engineering expertise in optics to create LLM-ready knowledge datasets for Ansys Optics.
- Identify and address gaps in current knowledge by collaborating with subject matter experts.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to support AI model development.
- Gain technical expertise in Ansys Optics software and explore cutting-edge GenAI solutions for support and education.
- Comply with data governance policies when handling data and ensure all workflows are documented.
- Present data workflows for auditing and remain agile to adapt to new tasks.
- Engage in strategic initiatives and maintain an experimental, “fail fast” approach to learning.
Minimum requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Opto-Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of optical and photonics physics fundamentals.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Ansys or similar CAE, CAD, EDA, or PLM tools.
- Skills: Logical problem-solving, effective communication, and strong organizational/time-management abilities.
- Language: Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred qualifications:
- Education: MS degree with relevant engineering experience (preferred MS+0).
- Software Experience: Hands-on experience with Optical Simulation tools.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python and a basic understanding of machine learning.
- Independence: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in diverse team settings.
- Project Management: Experience in handling multiple projects efficiently.
- Travel: Willingness to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
