Job description:
Poshmark is hiring for the post of Data Analyst Intern.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create data solutions for new product releases, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines.
- Operate independently while contributing as a proactive and cooperative team member.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables using best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for easy reference and team use.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on data to ensure integrity, report issues, and work with relevant teams for resolution.
Technical skills required:
- Data Management: Solid grasp of data warehousing, data pipelines, and ETL processes.
- SQL: Proficient in data querying with a willingness to learn diverse database technologies (e.g., relational, columnar, NoSQL like MongoDB and Redshift).
- BI Tools: Familiarity with Looker, Tableau, or similar tools is beneficial.
- Python: Basic to intermediate skills, especially for data-related scripting.
- Data Handling: Interest in working with large datasets, data architecture, complex pipelines, and managing data governance.
- Extras (Nice to Have):
- Experience with DBT.
- Familiarity with AWS services like IAM, EC2, or EMR.
Soft skills requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Enthusiastic about data and creating data-driven products.
- Experience in creating presentations with PowerPoint or similar tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
