Job description:
Qualcomm is conducting an interview for the post of Embedded Engineer.
Job function:
Develop software for IoT protocols (CoAP, LwM2M, MQTT), Networking Stack, and TLS on various OS platforms. Participate in commercializing IoT software across multiple carriers and contribute to cutting-edge cellular IoT solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, debug, and document complex software applications.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, applying strong interpersonal skills to solve multidisciplinary problems.
- Effectively communicate in written and verbal formats.
- Operate as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment, handling complex technical challenges.
Skills & experience:
- Core expertise: Strong proficiency in C programming, software engineering, and operating system concepts.
- RTOS development: Experience with platforms like ThreadX, FreeRTOS, or Zephyr is a significant advantage.
- Wireless technologies: Familiarity with GSM, LTE, or 5G is highly desirable.
- Embedded development: Hands-on experience in embedded environments and debugging tools like TRACE32 is valuable.
- Networking knowledge: Understanding of TCP/IP and experience in Linux kernel module programming is a plus.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and debugging abilities, with experience in Linux networking.
Preferred qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in software development.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and Linux OS concepts.
- Experience developing and commercializing software for wireless products.
- Proven ability to work in dynamic, multitasking environments and manage organizational priorities.
