Meril is conducting an interview for the post of Design Engineer.
Job Title: Design Engineer (UI/UX)
Experience: 0 – 1 Years
Job duties and responsibilities:
You will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces. You’ll collaborate with developers and stakeholders to turn ideas into functional designs for web applications along with web app programmers.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct user research, create user personas, and define information architecture.
- Design intuitive and responsive interfaces for web applications.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual mockups to communicate design concepts.
- Work closely with developers to ensure smooth implementation of designs.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate based on feedback.
- Ensure designs follow UI/UX best practices and accessibility guidelines.
Qualification/education:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
Required skills:
- Proficiency in UI/UX design tools like Figma.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability testing.
- Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile-first principles.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
- Knowledge of interaction design and micro-animations.
- Basic understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG compliance).
