Job description:
ABB is hiring for the post of Entry level Electrical Engineer.
Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to create the design of equipment, systems, or installations or modifies the pre-engineered designs for assignments by applying standard design concepts. Each day,
you will assist in designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification.
You will also showcase your expertise by participating in design reviews and design verification and modifying the design, as necessary.
The work model for the role is: #LinkedIn-onsite This role is contributing to the Motion business in System Drives division at Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Supporting the preparation of specific aspects of design assignments to meet the contractual obligations, adhering to safety, cybersecurity, and quality requirements.
- Ensuring that Bill of Materials for the project meets contractual obligations.
- Assisting technical risk assessments and implements the resulting actions in their projects.
- Participating in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes. You will join a dynamic team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications requirements:
- Responsible for preparation of order specific production documentation of various families of AC and DC variable speed drives cabinets.
- Participate in discussion with customer/consultant for approval of general arrangement/internal general arrangement drawings, and coordinate with production and vendors during fabrication and assembly of panels.
- Maintain on time generation of drawings and achieving first pass yield above 95%.
- Familiarity with basic operation of drives, switchgear, protection relays, cooling fans, PLC, transformers etc.
- Good communication skills – spoken and written English.
- Degree in Electrical engineering
