Description:
Peak AI is conducting an interview for the post of Graduate Software Engineer.
As part of our engineering team, you will collaborate with talented peers, learn from experienced mentors, and contribute to building AI solutions that empower some of the world’s leading brands, such as Nike, PepsiCo, and COTY.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to build and enhance software solutions.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Develop and maintain APIs, integrate with third-party services, and optimise database performance.
- Test, refine, and document software to ensure it meets the highest standards of performance and quality.
- Research, design, and implement innovative solutions to meet client and product needs.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in software engineering and technology to maintain a competitive edge.
- Provide support in the onboarding and implementation of new clients.
Required skills & experience:
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Programming experience: Proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or Go, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Fundamentals: Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, and software design patterns.
- Database knowledge: Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
- Front-end development: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end development frameworks like ReactJs.
- API and web development: Familiarity with RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.
- Collaborative mindset: Ability to work effectively in team settings and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Preferred skills:
- Hands-on experience with frameworks like ReactJS, Node.js, or relevant frameworks.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, particularly AWS, Azure, or other platforms.
- Interest in DevOps tools and practices (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
- Understanding of data integration systems or ETL tools.
- Prior internship experience or coding projects (e.g., GitHub portfolio).
