Job description:
ReNew is seeking Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) to join their manufacturing plant
team.
This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector, focusing on the production and assembly of components used in solar, wind, and other renewable energy systems. The trainees will receive comprehensive training, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the renewable energy manufacturing industry.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in day-to-day operations on the shop floor to ensure smooth production.
- Understand and apply manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and material
handling. - Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and
improve product quality. - Work with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing practices.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining product quality standards.
- Identify areas of improvement and contribute to corrective actions and process
improvements. - Gain knowledge of equipment maintenance schedules and help troubleshoot equipment
breakdowns. - Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize production downtime.
- Learn and adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the manufacturing plant.
- Actively participate in safety training and report any unsafe conditions.
- Collect and analyse data related to production, equipment performance, and quality.
- Prepare reports and suggest improvements based on analysis.
- Work closely with production teams, supervisors, and senior engineers to understand the
workflow. - Participate in meetings and contribute ideas for improving plant efficiency and output.
- Attend training sessions to build technical and managerial skills relevant to manufacturing operations.
- Engage in self-learning to stay updated on manufacturing trends and best practices.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics
- Strong academic background and knowledge of core engineering principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
