Job description:

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has announced notification for the Deputy Engineer/Senior Engineer/Project Engineer – I/Trainee Engineer – I posts. Candidates with B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc/AMIE/GIETE qualifications can apply for these posts. There are 88 vacancies to be filled. Eligibility:

Position #1: Senior Engineer (Electrical)

• B.E/B.Tech/AMIE/GIETE from a recognized University/Institution in the relevant disciplines.
• Approved/Relevant Branches: Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Experience: 4 – 5 Years

Position #2: Deputy Engineer (Civil)

• B.E/B.Tech/AMIE/GIETE from recognized universities/Institutions in the relevant disciplines.
• Approved Branches: Civil Engineering
• Experience: Nil

Position #3: Deputy Engineer (Mechanical)

• B.E/B.Tech/AMIE/GIETE from a recognized University/Institution in the relevant disciplines.
• Approved Branches: Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: Nil

Important note: Candidates should have secured First Class for GEN/OBC/EWS and Pass Class for PwBD for all posts

Terms of engagement:

Senior Engineer and Deputy Engineer will be engaged initially for a period of Five years which may be extended up to a maximum of Two years (Maximum tenure of 7 years) based on requirements and individual performance.

Age Limit (As on 01 December 2024):

• Senior Engineer: 35 Years
• Deputy Engineer: 28 Years

Age Relaxation:

• The upper age limit will be relaxed for OBC (NCL) candidates by 3 years.
• For Candidates who belong to the PwBD category having a minimum of 40% disability or more will get 10 years of relaxation in the upper age limit in addition to the relaxation applicable to the categories mentioned above.

Salary Details:

• Senior Engineer: Rs. 50,000/- to 1,60,000/-
• Deputy Engineer: Rs. 40,000/- to 1,40,000/-

Selection process:

• Selection will be through a written test followed by an interview of only those candidates who qualify for the written test in the ratio of 1:7 for Senior Engineer (E-III) and 1:5 for Deputy Engineer (E-II).
• The written Test will consist of objective-type questions for 85 marks from the Technical domain and General Aptitude.
• All candidates shall secure 35% (GEN/OBC/EWS) and 30% (PwBD) as qualifying marks in the written test
• The assessment weightage will be 85% and 15% for written test and interviews respectively.
• Call letters will be sent to the e-mail IDs of eligible candidates for attending the written test
• The date, time and centre details of the written test will be intimated by e-mail in due course.
• Intimation about the Personal Interview will be given to shortlisted candidates in the Interview Call Letter via e-mail only.

• Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD: Nil
• For Others: Rs. 472/- (Rs. 400/- + 18% GST)

For Project Engineer – I/Trainee Engineer – I Positions:

Eligibility:

Position #1: Project Engineer – I

• B.E./B.Tech in any Engineering discipline with PASS CLASS
• Minimum 2 years experience in software/ IT

Position #2: Trainee Engineer – I

• B.E./B.Tech/B. Sc Engg. (CS/IS/IT)

Skill set requirement:

• Exposure to development of programming languages in C++(or) Java (or) Python or combination of any of these languages.
• AI experience is an added advantage for Project Engineer posts

Duration:

• Project Engineer–I: Selected candidate will be engaged initially for a period of 3 years. The tenure is extendable by 1 year (maximum tenure of 4 years including the initial engagement) based on project requirement and performance of the candidate.
• Trainee Engineer-I: will be engaged initially for a period of 2 years extendable by 1 year (maximum tenure 3 years including the initial engagement) based on project requirement and performance of the candidate

Age limit (As on 01 December 2024):

• Project Engineer – I: 32 years (for General Category)
• Trainee Engineer – I: 28 years (for General Category)

• Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years
• Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe 5 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) having minimum 40% disability – 10 years

Salary details:

• Project Engineer – I: Rs. 40,000/-
• Trainee Engineer – I: Rs. 30,000/-

Number of Positions:

• Project Engineer – I: 05 Posts (UR –2, EWS-1, OBC-1, SC-1)
• Trainee Engineer – I: 35 Posts (UR –15, EWS-3, OBC-9, SC-5, ST-3)

Selection process:

For Project Engineer-I:

• Selection will be through Written Test followed by Interview for shortlisted candidates.
• The details regarding selection date and venue will be e-mailed to the candidates/applicants through email to the mail id provided by the candidate.
• Candidates meeting the specified criteria as mentioned above in the advertisement will be communicated to attend the Written Test for 85 marks.
• Candidates will be shortlisted for interview in the order of merit based on the performance in the written test, in the ratio 1:5
• Interview will be conducted subsequently, for 15 marks
• The results of the final selection will be available on BEL website.

Trainee Engineer-I:

• Selection will be through Written Test and candidates will be selected in the order of merit i.e , Category-wise, Discipline-wise.
• The written test will be conducted for 100 marks.
• The details regarding selection date and venue will be e-mailed to the candidates/applicants through email to the mail id provided by the candidate.
• Candidates meeting the specified criteria as mentioned above in the advertisement will be communicated to attend the Written Test.
• The results of the final selection will be available on BEL website.

Application Fees:

• General /OBC / EWS category and applying for the post of Project Engineer-I are required to pay Rs. 400/- + 18% GST
• General /OBC / EWS category and applying for the post of Trainee Engineer-I are required to pay Rs. 150/- + 18% GST as application fee.
