Job description:

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is hiring for the post of Signal Processing Engineer.

Minimum qualifications:

Completed B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics Engineering or a related field.

Essential skills:

  • Strong foundational knowledge in signal processing, including filter design, amplification, and feature extraction.
  • Knowledge of signal analysis in time and frequency domain.
  • Proficiency in using MATLAB for designing filters and digital signal processing (DSP).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Good documentation skills.

Good-to-have skills:

  • Experience in capturing, interpreting, and analyzing biopotential data (e.g. EMG, EEG, ECG etc.) in real-time.
  • Knowledge of Embedded C programming.
  • Basics knowledge of analog and digital circuits.

Role responsibilities:

  • Design and develop the filter algorithms and tools to go with the analog and digital circuits for an EMG system, including signal conditioning, amplification, and digitization.
  • Capture and analyze EMG data collected during clinical studies to identify relevant features and patterns.
  • Optimize the EMG system based on the analysis of clinical data to improve performance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure the EMG system meets all regulatory requirements.
  • Implement design optimization and iterative improvements based on test results.
  • Prepare technical documentation.

Minimum commitment: 6 months.

Remuneration: up to INR 25,000 per month based on qualifications and experience.
