Ansys is hiring for the post of Application Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
The Application Engineer SCBU is responsible for acquiring and leveraging domain engineering knowledge and relationships to help customers solving complex engineering problems using Ansys Semiconductor products. You will be part of the team deploying Ansys EDA products across all top Semiconductor companies.
This involves engaging in pre-sales and post sales activities with customers working with application engineers, software developers, architects, product specialists and sales to get the products deployed on leading edge SoCs across Semiconductor companies. Key focus areas will include all areas related to IP/SoC/3DIC Power Integrity, Signal Integrity, Reliability aspects like EM/ESD/Thermal, Advanced Packaging – the top challenges for any chip design on advanced nodes like 7/5/3 nm.
- Be a part of Application Engineering Team that works with Global-Customers / IP-providers / Foundries to understand design challenges of cutting-edge SoCs & 3DICs on 7/5/3 nm and creates EDA product specifications.
- Apply engineering expertise and knowledge of Semiconductor Power Integrity sign-off products to provide highest level of technical support to leading semiconductor design houses and foundries, ensuring high-quality and timely resolution of customer issues.
- Work with Product development team to get state-of-the-art EDA products developed.
- Work on Ansys-Seascape platform – Semiconductor Industry’s First and Only True Big-Data design Platform!
- Work with top Semiconductor companies around the globe to deploy EDA products for solving Power/Signal/Reliability challenges across Chip-Package-System at 7/5/3 nm.
- Provide expert guidance / consultation to Customers around the globe for solving design challenges.
- Own the customer problems, proactively engage with selected accounts to provide comprehensive solutions. Contribute to all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows and articulate Ansys’ value proposition.
- Gather customer requirements to support the improvement of Ansys software and collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into new product capabilities.
- Participates in internal corporate initiatives to share knowledge and to create best practices, inside the discipline and cross-disciplines.
- Develop simulation best practices, solutions, FAQs for knowledge base
Minimum education/certification requirements and experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s from Electronics and Communications Engineering/VLSI and related disciplines from top Institutions.
- Expertise in either of
- ASIC Physical design
- Power-Integrity/Signal-Integrity/Reliability Closure
- Custom circuit design, Spice simulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good Python/TCL/Perl scripting/programming skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers
- Ability to work on multiple projects which are complex in nature
- Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English.
Preferred qualifications and skills:
- Passion to learn and deploy new technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and translate these into an execution plan that delivers value and meets business goals
- Ability for minimal travel
