Job description:

The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun, has announced a notification for the Technical Assistant/Junior Stenographer/Assistant Grade III/Driver/Cook/Lab Attendant posts. There are a total of about 16 vacancies available for WII Dehradun Recruitment.

Candidates with B.E/B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc/Diploma/PgD/12th/10th qualifications are eligible to apply for these jobs. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for WII Jobs by postal on or before 06 January 2025. Educational qualification:

Technical Assistant (IT& RS/GIS):

  • 1st Class B.Sc. (Computer Science/Information Technology/GIS/Remote Sensing/Data Science)/BCA/B.E./B.Tech in CS/Information Technology/Artificial Intelligence/Computer Engineering/Computer Technology/Electronics/ Electrical/Electronics & Communications/Data Science) from Government recognized institute/ University OR
  • 1st Class B.Sc along with PG Diploma in Computer Science from Government recognized institute/ University OR
  • 1st Class three-year full-time Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology from Government recognized institute/University

Technical Assistant (Engineering):

  • 1st Class 3-year full-time Diploma in Civil Engg/Architecture   OR
  • 1st Class B. Tech (Civil Engineering)/Bachelor in Architecture Degree from Government recognized institute/University

Technical Assistant (Audio Visual):

  • 1st Class B.Sc.(CS/IT/Electronics)/BCA/B.E/B.Tech. in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Technology/Computer Engineering/Electronics/Visual communication/ Electronics & Communications/Electrical) from Government recognized institute/University OR
  • 1st Class B.Sc. along with a minimum one year Diploma in Computer Science/Digital Photography/Video Editing/Sound recording from Government recognized institute/University OR
  • 1st Class three-year full-time diploma in Computer Science/Digital Photography/Electronics/Video Editing/Sound recording from Government recognized institute/ University

Technician (Field):

  • SSC/HSC/12th in science with Sixty Percent marks in aggregate AND
  • Minimum Year Diploma in Civil Engg/Draughtsman/Land survey Architecture from Government recognized institute/ University

Junior Stenographer:

  • 10+2/XII or equivalent
  • Speed of 80 w.p.m in shorthand and 40/35 w.p.m typing speed in English/Hindi on computer

Assistant Grade-III:

  • 10+2/XII or it’s equivalent from a recognized board
  • Typing speed of 35/30 w.p.m in English/Hindi on computer

Driver (Ordinary Grade):

  • 10th Standard
  • Must have a valid driving license for both light and heavy vehicles and experience of driving light & heavy vehicles for at least 3 years.

Cook:

  • High School with a Degree/Diploma in “Cookery” from any recognized institute
  • Desirable: 2 years working experience as Cook/ Bearer in any reputed hotel or organization

Lab Attendant:

  • SSC/HSC/12th Standard in Science with 60 % marks in aggregate OR
  • 10th /Matriculation/SSC with 60 % marks in aggregate with certificate/diploma (of minimum 2 years) i.e., library science/Lab Technology /IT from Government recognized institute

Age Limit (As on 06 January 2025):

  • Technical Assistant: 18 to 28 years
  • Technician (Field): 18 to 28 years
  • Junior Stenographer: 18 to 27 years
  • Assistant Grade III: 18 to 27 years
  • Driver (Ordinary Grade): 18 to 27 years
  • Cook: 18 to 27 years
  • Lab Attendant: 18 to 28 years

Age Relaxation of Wildlife Institute of India Recruitment:

  • Relaxations in case of SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD, etc., and other categories as per Government of India rules issued from time to time.
  • No age relaxation is allowed for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved posts.
  • Departmental candidates will be provided age relaxation as per the Government of India Rules

Salary:

  • Technical Assistant: Rs. 34,400/- to Rs. 1,12,400/- (Level-6)
  • Technician (Field): Rs. 19,900/- to Rs. 63,200/- (Level-2)
  • Junior Stenographer: Rs. 25,500/- to Rs. 81,100/- (Level-4)
  • Assistant Grade-III: Rs. 19,900/- to Rs. 63,200/- (Level-2)
  • Driver (Ordinary Grade): Rs. 19,900/- to Rs. 63,200/- (Level-2)
  • Cook: Rs. 19,900/- to Rs. 63,200/- (Level-2)

Selection process:

  • The selection process will be based on a Written Exam & Skill/Trade Test.

  • Paper-I: MCQ (200 Marks) – 3 Hrs
  • Paper-II: Essay in English or Hindi (50 Marks) – 1 Hr
