Job description:

Siemens is hiring for the post of Product Validation Engineer.

As an integral part of Product Validation and Customer Support team, to test and validate different features of Catapult, CCOV & SLEC systems including writing testing specifications and supporting test cases. Provide solutions and answers to end-users’ or field AEs’ queries on product usage and find the gaps in the product. Upkeep of test environment & regression and create automated scripts to ensure smooth functioning.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Responsible for leading projects related to different features of the HLS/HLV product, develop test plan, create test cases and find issues and gaps.
Being the internal end-user of the tool, take measures to improve quality of Product and test environment.
Use technical expertise to respond to customer queries, demonstrate products and its flow. Analyse all incoming issues and queries from customer and find the gaps to improve the product. Role may involve interaction with customers on critical issues to narrow down the problem.
Support and debug customer design methodologies using our products. Produce the benchmark data if needed. Participate in architecture reviews and involve in defining features prototyping.
Understanding the tool and understanding the user’s expectations to bring out the best of the tool.

Technical skills and qualifications required:

B.Tech (EE/ECE/CS) or M.Tech (VLSI/Microelectronics/Embedded Systems)
Programming knowledge of C/C++ for HLS is required. System C is a plus.
Experience in running, debugging, validating, and profiling programs on HW design (digital domain) is a big advantage.
Basics of Verilog/VHDL and experience in Logic Synthesis/High Level Synthesis is plus.
Knowledge of one of the scripting languages like Perl, Tcl. Experience with LINUX platforms.
Good problem solving and analytical skills. Self-motivated and independent thinker.
