Job description:

Molex is conducting an interview for the post of Graduate Engineer Trainee.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support for New Product Developments (NPDs), Modifications (MODs),
  • Standard Product Options, and legacy product maintenance/technical support projects.
  • Plan and execute assigned projects, ensuring all targets are met.
  • Collaborate with customers, product managers, and sales teams to develop solutions that align with the Voice of Customer (VOC).
  • Adhere to the Product Development Process (PDP) while working closely with peers, Product Management, Engineering Groups, Manufacturing Plants, Advanced Quality Planning (AQP), Application Tooling, and Reliability Engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) to manage and execute multiple projects
    simultaneously.
  • Lead engineering efforts to meet both customer and manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop and manage product models, drawings, product specifications, Design Verification
  • Plans and Reports (DVP&R), tolerance stack-ups, test summaries, and application
    specifications.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of assigned product families (e.g., PSD, PDD, PK, PS, AS, TS).
  • Independently plan and prioritize work based on organizational needs, in close collaboration with the supervisor.
  • Strive to understand, pursue, and achieve organizational, departmental, and personal goals.
  • Demonstrate alignment with the Principle Based Management (PBM) framework, applying its principles to day-to-day activities.
  • Responsible for engineering change management (ECR’s and ECN’s)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Basic understanding of Product Design & Development
  • Understanding of material selection for plastic and metal components based on mechanical, thermal, electrical, and environmental considerations.
  • Solid background in the conceptualization, development, and testing of mechanical designs.
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering concepts.
  • Familiarity with SAP and PLM systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead and participate in online meetings.
  • Self-driven, quick learner, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to develop and meet project schedules, along with contingency plans
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information and solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain collaboration, smooth teamwork, and communication.
  • Understanding of Agile work methodology (Scrum work methodology)
