Job description:
OpenText is looking for C/C++ Software engineer, skilled in delivery, design, development and maintenance of technology based products and provide expertise in producing high quality, configurable and maintainable software.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Work on end to end product solutions, fixes and enhancements. Which involves both off-cloud and Cloud/SaaS solutions.
- Contributed for product’s SaaS solution, primarily designed with AWS technologies.
- Discuss design & solutions, at system level, with stakeholders, reviewers as required.
- Write effective APIs and Develop and manage well-functioning applications
- Accurately estimate and plan work items for self, to independently handle priorities in accountable area of ownership.
- Ability to independently handle priorities in assigned areas of responsibility and demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Closely work with test engineering and documentation engineers to provide timely
- Adhering to companies & team’s best practices / processes in order to develop high quality software.
- Continuously enhance the code by incorporating newer technologies, improving the code structure and performance, and finding/fixing bugs.
Requirements:
- Great passion for learning and has a “can do” attitude.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge & ability to work with different programming languages (e.g. C/C++/C#, Python, Scripts etc)
- Good knowledge of cloud/SaaS technologies, various services, and deployment patterns (especially AWS deployments)
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache).
- Strong understanding of OS/Systems concepts, system libraries etc.
- Must have strong technical aptitude to understand infrastructure & enterprise product technologies.
- Demonstrated strong debugging skills using debugging tools/source code analysis.
- Good understanding of operating systems & software engineering concepts.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal/teamwork skills.
- Highly detail oriented, self-managed and organized, pay specific attention to details & quality.
