Job description:
Infineon Technologies is hiring a Hardware Design & Layout Engineer.
Create PCB layout design for power electronics involving multiple layers and using correct design practices and techniques for high-frequency switching power applications such as AI datacenter DCDC,SMPS, Solar Inverters & Robotics supporting technologies like GaN, SiC, MOSFET.
In your new role you will:
- Create and oversee design document packages, including schematic, bill of materials, assembly instructions etc.
- Create PCB layout design for power electronics involving multiple layers and using correct design practices and techniques for high-frequency switching power applications such as AI datacenter DCDC,SMPS, Solar Inverters & Robotics supporting technologies like GaN, SiC,MOSFET.
- Perform Thermal, Impedance and parasitic analysis
- Document modification and version control for varioushardware design
- Interact with the EDA tool vendors addressing tool issues,track their processing and provide feedback about potential productimprovements and enhancements
- Test and evaluate new tool features, plugins, or extensions to determine their compatibility and usefulness for the organization
- Contribute to the further development of an integrated PCB design flow enabling schematic entry, PCB layout, component management and product lifecycle management
Requirements:
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or comparable with strong experience in SMPS, DCDC, Resonant converters, DC/AC converters design
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following PCB design tools: Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro with strong fundamentals of power electronics
- Expertise to define, establish and maintain PCB design; familiarity with component library management and product lifecyclemanagement would be beneficial
- Knowledge in EDA tool environment setup; SKILL and Perlscripting would be an advantage
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communications
