Description:
GlobalFoundries is seeking a motivated, self-driven intern to support the development and enhancement of automation and EDA tools used in semiconductor SPICE model QA.
Duties and responsibilities:
The role involves improving existing scripts and creating new ones to streamline modeling development/QA flows. This position requires strong programming skills in Python and basic understanding of semiconductor device physics (MOSFETs). Familiarity with Perl and Shell scripting is a plus. This position offers hands-on experience in a cutting-edge semiconductor R&D environment.
The candidate should be capable of quickly ramping up on existing Perl, Shell, and Python codebase understanding, maintaining, and enhancing them as per project requirements. They should also be able to develop new scripts or tools when needed, ensuring all code adheres to established software development best practices, including clean structure and thorough documentation. A strong understanding of the electrical behavior of semiconductor devices and related simulation methodologies is essential. The candidate must be fluent in English (both written and verbal), possess excellent communication skills, and be comfortable collaborating across global teams and time zones. The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, along with solid coding and debugging skills. This position is based out of Bangalore.
