Job description:
ReNew is looking for Electrical Engineers in Gurgaon.
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee in the RPDC department, you will be part of a core team that ensures optimal performance and reliability of renewable energy assets including wind and solar power plants. This role provides a unique opportunity to build expertise in asset monitoring, data analysis, SCADA systems, and digital tools used in clean energy operations. You will work closely with experienced engineers to support performance tracking, reporting, and issue analysis while building the foundation for a future leadership role in renewable energy.
Duties and responsibilities:
Asset performance monitoring:
- Assist in performance monitoring of wind and solar assets via SCADA and other digital platforms.
- Track asset availability, energy generation, and downtime metrics.
Reporting & analysis:
- Support daily, weekly, and monthly reporting activities such as Generation Reports, Curtailment Reports, and Performance Ratio Reports.
- Assist in preparing dashboards and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
Data handling & quality:
- Work on ensuring data accuracy and integrity from multiple sources.
- Learn and help maintain the single-source data structure for assets.
Technical assessments:
- Assist in initial analysis of critical parameters, power curve trends, and performance deviations.
- Support root cause analysis for repetitive errors and performance anomalies.
Digital transformation support:
- Collaborate with the digital team to implement and test new analytics tools and platforms.
- Provide user-level feedback on digital dashboards and asset health tools.
Support functions:
- Contribute to module cleaning, inverter availability, and curtailment tracking.
- Maintain logs and documentation related to system performance and issue resolutions.
Learning & development:
- Get trained in renewable energy operations, digital asset management tools, and SCADA systems.
- Gain practical exposure to solar and wind technologies.
- Develop cross-functional collaboration skills working with asset management, digital, and operations teams.
Skills and competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Good understanding of basic electrical and renewable energy concepts
- Familiarity with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools
- Willingness to learn SCADA systems and digital platforms
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for clean energy and innovation
Career progression:
This role is designed to prepare GETs for future roles in asset monitoring, digital energy platforms, and performance optimization. Successful GETs will have the opportunity to grow into roles such as SCADA Engineer, Performance Analyst, or Asset Manager within the RPDC or broader Asset Management division.
