GE Vernova is hiring Mechanical/Electrical Engineers in Chennai.
Position: Graduate Engineer Trainee
Duties and responsibilities:
Graduate Engineer Trainees will work in the field of Product Design/Requisition Engineering of Drives products – Mechanical under the mentorship of technical expert in this field. The individual will work on a function depending on their prior coursework and degree.
Essential responsibilities:
- Concept and Basic Mechanical design – Packaging of Electrical components.
- Detail engineering and Validation of design.
- NPI, Localization and Development of Drives products – Mechanical.
- Cost out & DMP activities.
- Provide documentation support in the assigned project.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical engineering basics
- Good knowledge in CAD tools preferably Creo, AutoCAD, Ansys.
- Exposure to Manufacturing process & Quality standards
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Flexible to work with cross-functional teams and global assignments.
- Self-starter, Initiator & Solution finder for critical problems with high motivation
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Fluent in English
