Job description:
MELSS is looking for a Business Development Engineer
Duties and responsibilities:
- Understand and promote industrial automation solutions, including PLCs, SCADA, HMI, drives, sensors, and control panels.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in manufacturing, process, and infrastructure sectors.
- Collaborate with the engineering and project teams to prepare proposals, quotations, and technical documentation.
- Conduct client visits, presentations, and product/solution demos.
- Provide pre-sales and limited post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform market research, competitor analysis, and client mapping.
- Maintain records of leads, client interactions, and project opportunities using CRM tools.
- Support marketing campaigns, trade shows, and customer engagement activities.
Required skills:
- Basic understanding of industrial automation systems and components.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and explain them to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking with a results-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and site visits.
Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics Engineering (BE/B.Tech).
- 0–1 years of experience (freshers welcome).
- Passion for industrial automation and business development.
