GE Healthcare is hiring for the post of Trainee Engineer.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving improvements in product quality related to rejections from Customers & Internal yields.
- Responsible for quality of output from the manufacturing line – Track and close quality issues in the manufacturing line / returns from customer.
- Interface with Supplier Quality on supplier related defects. work with suppliers on RMA/RTV, drive Root cause analysis against part quality Issues.
- Ensure compliance through Validation and Verification (V&V).
- Compliance to quality management systems & EHS in all activities.
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
- Equipment Calibration Activities, Coordination with calibration agencies and the periodic calibration complete.
- Creation of Standard Operating Procedures, release & training to Production line operators.
- Root Cause Analysis against Quality Issue – CAPA Process.
- Define Incoming Acceptance Plan for Parts.
- Engagement with Customers to drive product quality improvement actions.
- Work on Lean Initiatives, Kaizen Implementation etc.…
- Attend Line Breakdown, drive fixes to minimize the production down time. Work with equipment manufacturers in establishing preventive controls or maintenance.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/industrial engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement Best Practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity.

Roles & responsibilities.
Interact with Suppliers, Manufacturing , Sourcing team. Perform analysis of
defective parts to confirm possible root causes of the defects. Communicate the defects to the suppliers & drive containment actions to ensure no impact to the manufacturing operations. Get return approval letters from suppliers for Internal & Supplier defects. Deep dive with Supplier Quality Engineering team on defect root cause & possible corrective actions from suppliers. Support SQE team managing supplier change requests & monitoring other supplier compliance activities.
