IBM India is conducting an interview for the post of Test Engineer.

Job duties and responsibilities:
- Testing all aspects of the product/system including function/component, system, performance, regression and service
- Work with development team to identify and capture test cases, and ensure version management
- Setting up of test environments, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases
- Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned people in development
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- 1-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source automation technologies and tools
- Strong at system administration – Linux, Windows, Mac with passion for scripting(Perl/Shell), coding and automation.
- Working Knowledge of Automation tools and frameworks including Selenium
- Working knowledge of using virtual machine environments
- An understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product
- Demonstrated Analytical skills and decision-making ability, attention to details and a strong test aptitude
- Ability to work in a team as well as an individual contributor
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:
- 1-3 Years overall experience
- Understanding of Testing concepts and DBMS knowledge
