Job description:
Velodyne Lidar is looking for innovative minds and the brightest students for FPGA/DSP programming for the next generation LiDAR sensor development. You will act as FPGA/DSP Designer with respect to activities related to the heart of Velodyne Sensors.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Design and programming of Embedded Systems using FPGAs and Verilog or System Verilog code.
- Implementation of LiDAR signal processing algorithms.
- Integration of the RTL blocks and validation on the LiDAR platform and Xilinx evaluation boards.
- Debugging the FPGA using high-end lab equipment including Power supply, Oscilloscope, Functional generator, spectrum analyzer etc.
- Developing and testing scripts to automate FPGA analysis.
Skills required:
- Have knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) fundamentals and exposure to MATLAB programming.
- Are familiar with FPGA/Digital logic design with basic Verilog or System Verilog programming.
- Know Basic scripting – Python.
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or a related field with a CGPA of 7.5 or higher
- Any experience with digital design processes is a plus.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills, pro-active attitude, hands-on mentality, team player and good communication skills
