Job duties and responsibilities:
- We are seeking highly motivated engineers with 0-5 years of experience in Layout Automation Development to be part of EDA team. Join a great team of engineering professionals who are involved in development of Circuit Layout flows used to design IBM’s high performance microprocessor chips.
- In this role, you will collaborate with EDA developers, circuit design leads and leadership team to develop innovative solutions to improve quality and turnaround time of tools and flows used to design circuit layout for high performance microprocessor blocks for IBM Power and Z mainframe servers
Key responsibilities:
- Development of tools and flows for custom design automation with thorough focus on quality and turnaround time
- Work with cross functional agile teams to adapt and integrate innovations in process, flows and technologies to tools and flows.
- Bring in innovative solutions for high frequency design automation tools
- Team player, with good problem solving and communication skills and excellent scripting skills
Qualifications and Experience required:
- 0-5 years of experience in custom design automation
- Automation skills in PERL, Python, SKILL and/or TCL
- Good understanding of circuit design, LVS, DRC and other PDV tool knowledge
- Good to have C/C++ skills
