Job description:
Hubbell is conducting an interview for the post of Mechanical Design Engineer.
A candidate who is result driven, self-motivated, an innovative designer with sound knowledge in creating 3d model and assembly in Autodesk Inventor.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Use 3D modeling software to design products and components
- Input and track associate parts required for design and generate a BOM & costing.
- Work with marketing team members to assess customer feedback and align to product development.
- Create, develop, evaluate new product design concepts following ANSI, IEC, IEEE & Telcordia standards.
- Conduct design for manufacturability events.
- Coordinate and perform experiments to test and verify product design.
- Track progress and action items for ongoing design projects.
- Participate in Kaizen improvement events.
- Assist in troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis for product enhancement.
- Attend seminars and conferences to be up to date on connector technology
