Job description:
Ather Energy is conducting an interview for the post of Cell Engineer.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Qualify cells for our batteries by putting them through rigorous testing and characterisation
- Collaborate with different internal teams for designing and testing new batteries
- Support with building electro-thermal models for lithium ion cells
- Build cell degradation forecasting models using insights from testing, fleet performance, theoretical understanding
- Collaborate with external partners to carry out cell characterization using newer techniques
- Support interactions and collaboration with existing and prospective cell suppliers
- Oversee evolving industry trends in alternate technologies in energy storage
Qualifications and Experience required:
- 1-2 years of work experience with Li-ion cells
- Basic understanding of electrochemistry fundamentals
- Familiarity with tools to handle large datasets to derive insights from
- Hands-on experience of building projects/test setups from scratch
- High energy and persistence
- Strong self-learning ability
- Explorer mentality to keep pushing boundaries
Requirements:
Any engineering field having done projects related to batteries
